Miley

Miley D2024We just wanted to send an update on Miley to Wags & Whiskers. She’s doing great so far. She knows basic commands now, such as sit, stay, come, back, down, bed & kennel.

She definitely has a lot of energy and really enjoys going to the dog park to play with other dogs. We just took her on her first bike run today! She did great!

Lew (Spot)

Lew has been doing great. Lew (spot C1026)He took quite a while to come out of his various hiding spots, but now he can be found all over the house out in the open. He loves his tummy tubs whenever he can get them, enjoys watching the birds out the window, and has great adventures getting into adolescent kitty-mischief. He gets along well enough with Miller, our 14-year-old resident cat. They don’t cuddle like we’d hoped, but we’ve learned that Lew isn’t much of a lap cat with his human friends either. They do chase each other playfully, and we’re glad to see Miller being more active these days. Thank you for fostering Lew (Spot) for as long as you did. We’re happy to have him in our home. ~ Devon

Drake

Each and every day I see many different success stories on Wags & Whisker’Drake 2013s FB page. It is inspirational to see what a difference your organization has made. I think what many don’t realize is not only are you making a difference for these animals but you are making a difference for the families that get to welcome them into their homes. I can say this because just 2 short years ago we had the opportunity to bring Drake into our home (Drake is the one pictured on the left near my husband). We adopted Drake when he was just under 3 months old. When we first brought him home he tended to be timid and shy but over the past 2 years we have had the opportunity to watch him blossom into a playful and loveable dog. He has brought so much joy and humor into our lives and for that I am grateful. Not only do my husband and I enjoy his quirky personality and late night snuggles but our lab Bella also enjoys his companionship. They have truly become best friends and quite frankly I don’t know what they would do without one another! So for that I wanted to say thank to the Wags & Whiskers community and for all that you do. ~ Kelsey

Louie (Captain aMeowica)

We adopted Louie (aka Captain Ameowica) on August 22nd of 2014. Captain aMeowica chip 911001001310417 #2 He is such an amazingly fun and entertaining animal. He fit in with our wild bunch (Teddy, the great pyr; and Tigger, the orange tabby) right away. His lovely, cuddly nature makes every guest we have want to be around him. We are so thankful for your volunteers and how helpful they were with this process. We feel blessed everyday to have found our handsome boy! Louie is the orange and white long-haired cat seen picture with his new brother Tigger.

Thanks ~ Maggie

Riggs (Ruffles)

I wanted to say thank you for such a sweet loving little girl. When we adopted here almost 2 years ago, she was called Ruffles, but we changed it to Riggs as she wriggles with excitement when she sees her forever family.D1079 Ruffles (riggs) She was once a very timid girl with my husband but he now has a daddy’s girl who curls up next to him. She is definitely the princess of the house. She puts up with all of us hugging and kissing on her, a soccer team of boys surrounding her giving her all the attention. She is our diva! Thank you for saving so many others ~ Ruth

Luna (Raggedy Ann)

We COULDN’T love Luna more. Raggedy Ann 956 000 004 202 802 Luna
She is so cuddly and sweet, but full of sass.

She fits perfectly into our family and is queen over the boys (Archie -Shih Tzu and Fitz- German Shepherd) .

We are so grateful to have her in our lives and for our wonderful experience with Wags & Whiskers adopting her.

Look at her now! ~ Rachel

Evey (Sunny Button)

Sunny Button C1051 3Evey is just the best cat we could have dreamed of and we love her so much! Sunny Button C1051 1
She loves looking out the window from her cat tree and playing with her mouse toys.

She also likes to sit on your lap and lick your nose when she is excited to see you sometimes!! She is such a loving cat. She is sitting on my lap as I type this email! Thank you so much for being such a wonderful home to her before we found her. We couldn’t be happier! Below are some pictures, she is getting bigger! ~ Brittany

She lost all her baby teeth and her adult teeth are now coming in. She loves rawhide, squeaky toys, digging holes, fetching balls, cuddling and falling asleep in strange positions.

Ella has been a wonderful addition to our home, she brings us so much joy and laughter! Thanks! ~ Alora

Phil

Phil has quickly become the king of my castle. After a half day hiding out in a closet, he ventured out and has since established himself as the king. Phil 1. He shares my mornings in the bathroom getting ready for work. He meows constantly while I am in the shower and will even place himself on the edge of the tub to make his presence known. And he has a strange fixation with my hairbrush, Phil has also discovered the bed is an excellent time to play with his cloth mice at 3 AM in the morning. Phil 2I routinely wake up to discover a mouse tossed at my face and a couple of paws digging around trying to find it. We’ve had several conversations regarding his respecting hi human’s sleep time but alas he is deaf to my pleas. But how can resist how cute he looks pouncing on those mice?? Phil and I are very happy together! ~ Tracey
